Balanced analysis
The strengths. The concerns.
The strengths
- He enters the race with direct executive experience and a full mayoral term available for public review.
- His health-sector background provides subject-matter experience in public-health issues.
The concerns
- As the incumbent, he is accountable for unresolved municipal problems as well as completed projects.
- Several prominent proposals, including secondary water sources and pediatric services, still need published costs, partners, timelines, and outcomes.
- Some evidence of results comes from municipal communications or campaign statements and requires comparison with budgets, milestones, and independent audits.
